On this album, as with my other two albums, I continue my goal of creating orchestral pop arrangements that provide the listener with a different way of hearing some very familiar hits. Eleven of the songs on this album fall into this "cover" category. The other two are original compositions that were initially submitted in sheet-music form to various members of the Church Music Publishers Association. Sorry to say, I couldn't generate any interest among CMPA members to publish either of these spiritual compositions, but I included them here because I believe their melodies and arrangements fit nicely into this collection of pieces. The other two songs on the album, "Walkin' Easy" and "A Gift For Veronica," are original compositions, ones that started out as simple melody lines and then grew to become larger and more coplex musical pieces. His showing me his "Atari thing," as he called it, turned out to be a magical gateway that opened up a whole new world of music to me. I can only hope that what I have been able to do with today's musical technology opens up a whole new world of musical entertainment for my listeneres, as well.
