"Getting Wired IV" closes off with the final song from the first act of the 1980 musical, "Les Miserables." Originally showcasing vocal performances by all of the main characters in the show, "Day" remains one of the most popular pieces from this musical adaptation of Victor Hugo's novel. In all, the song has been translated into 21 languages and featured in 31 different cast recordings. In my arrangement, the various vocal parts are shared among a wide variety of musical instruments, including a trumpet, French oboe, violin, accordion, harp, bagpipe, piccolo, clarinet, and metal clavier, while a xylophone, choir voices, organ, tubular bells, piano, and bass serve as the arrangement's "supporting cast."
