Unlike my other three albums, this album contains none of my original compositions, primarily because there were just too many great songs out there that I wanted to cover to bump one or two to make room for a couple of my own. Besides, the challenge of showcasing some really fine, popular melodies and then arranging them in a way that's to my liking is a whole lot of fun --- actually more fun than writing and arranging my own stuff. As an electronic musician, I have the ability to harness the power of computer hardware and software to execute my musical ideas. Doing so enables me to use an almost unlimited number of musical instruments that ordinarily wouldn't be available to me, either by skill or by finances. So a long time ago, I made a decision: rather than spending years mastering one or two musical instruments, I'd invest the same amount of time and energy mastering the computer software programs and VST plug-ins that would enable me to bring my musical ideas to life. I can only hope the musical life I gave the 13 songs featured on this album is one that you'll find enjoyable to listen to.
