Personally, I found this track from Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" album one of the most thrilling, exciting songs in his triple-disc package. Harrison wrote it following his temporary departure from the Beatles in January of 1969, and the recording featured such musicians as Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Bobby Keys, and the band Badfinger. Many reviewers feel the song's lyrics reflect Harrison's statement of his personal and artistic freedom from the Beatles. Of course, in my arrangement, there are no lyrics. Rather, the various melody and harmony lines are shared by synthesizers, harpsichord, piano, trumpet, and trombone, while staccato strings, choir voices, and pipe organ are layered in behind in support of the melody lines. Also heard are two different styles of bass guitar and a variety of percussion instruments.
