As the story goes, Toby Keith wrote this hit after talking with actor Clint Eastwood, as he approached his 90th year, about how Clint dealt with aging. When asked the question, Eastwood supposedly said he just got up every day, went outside, and didn't let the old man in. Keith used that as a springboard to write the song that eventually was showcased as the credits rolled at the end of Eastwood's movie, "The Mule." In my arrangement, the melody is carried by the piano, accompanied by strings, choir voices, and a lone French horn, while a snare and bass drums round out the percussion section.
