Probably best known for this and his other contemporary hymn, "Come, Taste And See," John Becker received a music degree from St. John's University in Minnesota and a master's degree in music history from the University of Minnesota. In my arrangement, I chose to use a synthesizer and viola to carry the melody lines, while a piano and choir voices provide the underlying musical support, along with a guitar and various percussion instruments. At the end of the hymn, the vocals (the only two on the album) are provided by my granddaughter, Emma Kirkwood, and my wife, Pat.
