I got the idea for this hymn one night at choir practice when we were working on "Soon And Very Soon" by Andrae Crouch. My idea was to use a similar music style, overlaying four different melodies, each with a different set of lyrics having to do with spending some time with Jesus on the side of a river. I prepared the sheet music for the hymn and circulated it among members of the Christian Music Publishers Association, but, sorry to say, didn't have any takers. Eventually, I plan to create a YouTube video for this song that I hope will give the hymn a bit more exposure.
