I got the idea for this hymn one night at choir practice when we were working on "Soon And Very Soon" by Andrae Crouch (see track 10 on this album). My idea was to use a similar music style, overlaying four different melodies, each with a different set of lyrics having to do with spending some time with Jesus on the side of a river. Eventually, I created a YouTube video for this song that included the lyrics I had written.
