From the moment Joe Cocker's piano player fingers the intro of this song, you know you're in for a treat. I wanted to create the same kind of audio pleasure that Cocker's fans get whenever he performs this particular song, but, of course, I don't have Joe Cocker to work with. So, instead, I selected a B4 organ, pan flute, and guitars to carry the melody, backed up by both trumpet and percussion sections. The end result will never be as energized as Cocker's vocal, but it does seem to do all right for itself.
