Sister Suzanne Toolan, RSM, is an internationally known composer of liturgical music. In this version of her popular communion song, I open my arrangement with a plucked guitar and string section and then hand the melody off to a brass ensemble, accompanied by choir voices and a variety of softly played percussion instruments. "I Am The Bread Of Life" has been translated into 20 languages and continues to be one of Toolan's most popular works. As a choir member, I also found that it was one of my favorites, as well.
