It's hard not to get caught up in the melody lines of this hymn. From the opening notes played on a piccolo to the more full-throated French horn and brass ensemble, the hymn builds gradually until it finally lands on the keyboards of a cathedral pipe organ in the slower-tempoed finale. Rory Cooney has been writing songs for some 35 years, and, for me, his "Destiny" piece is a true high point of his career.
