The cover songs on this album were picked because I thought my arrangements would provide the listener with a different way of hearing these particular melodies. The other songs are original compositions, ones that began with a melody or arrangement that got stuck in my head and just wouldn't leave until I had recorded them to disc. As I mention on my "Bio" page, I lived not too far away from composer/arranger Lenny LaCroix. His showing me his "Atari thing," as he called it, turned out to be a magical gateway that opened up a whole new world of music to me. I can only hope that what I have been able to do with today's musical technology opens up a whole new world of musical entertainment for my listeneres, as well.
